I began with a large 2 pieces then a one piece medium pre preg Lima with oval shaft but over 20km it was still too much surface . Then I decided to purchase the PP Lima Small. I was in contact with Roman at SB HQ . I wanted to get the new skinny oval but it comes only in S30 and S35. After 3 cruises I already found this S35 shaft was too thin and too stiff. I sold it ,lost some money and ordered the Lima Small normal oval S45. I was expecting lighter weight than my medium at 380 gr. In fact the Small in S45 was 428gr . Roman gave me the explanation. The softer shaft uses another way of manufacturing. I sold it again, lost again 3000 thb and ordered the Small in oval S40 . The weight is 373gr and I am pleased. Most ladies in Thailand should use the smaller size. They identify to the pro racers but they cannot cope a good frequency with too big paddles. They do not have the right torso weight to make a proper catch with a big blade. I BEGAN SUP in january 2022 with 45000km experience in seakayaks and surfskis. Since I paddled 3750km ( I have a logbook) but in Phuket I am still alone paddling at sea. Why they do not organize races here with all the best sea conditions we have? They prefer to paddle flat around buoys in front of beaches or in dirty rivers. Once more if you come back to Phuket let me know. I am 64 YO and have a poor back, with herniated discs but I paddle every second day. My medium at my size+11cm is a bit short so I use it in my Javelin 14x24 dugout. The small is better tailored at 192cm ,13 cm more than my body height 179cm. The right size on my Maliko 14x26 for my touring program. In certain case I choke down of course.

Did you start by putting down an adhesive gel pad then continued to mount the downhaul and complete by installing the the mast base extension so the mast can be placed in? I have a Jobe leona 10.6 that I would like to put a sail mount on just like yours.

Je viens de la commander en 14 x 23. La 20,75 m'a été déconseillée. Je vais l'utiliser pour les eaux plates et uniquement pour m'entrainer seul. J'avais la all-star 2021 en 14 x 24,5 et elle était excellente aussi mais je la trouvais trop large. Je verrais avec cette sprint vers octobre quand j'irais la chercher.

I have this board the Gen R 14x23.5. I'm not sure I like it because it responds negatively to the elements. For example, wind and current instantly cause the board to brake. I understand there are thing which can slow down a board but I have never felt such an instant reduction in speed. Maybe it's not good for my style of padding but, it's not good for catching bumps either. I'm coming off of a Riviera 14x24. That board caught everything and felt like it glided easily. I'm not so sure this board does the same. I have been paddling for a decade and I'm hoping to find someone who wants to trade. The lesson here is: Always try before you buy.

My Waterline is fast and quiet enough that I can keep pace with my wife in her narrow, pointy Kevlar kayak without my board making any more noise than her boat. Of course, my breathing and pounding heart are still a bit loud, but other boards with less pointy noses and more rocker are splashier under the bow and much louder while also being noticeably slower on flatwater.

I bought this in 23 wide and did not demo it. After a few months, I determined it’s not for me. I feel like I’m dragging the board the entire way. I’m mostly in Gulf conditions, which aren’t exactly flat, it can be pretty choppy sometimes and the inlets are fast. Anyway… I’ve been paddling for years and it’s not for me. I’m sure it could work for someone else but I’m a smaller guy and this boarding like dragging a fat guy down the street: You need constant hard work to keep it going fast. I didn’t feel that way with my Riviera. With my Riviera, I could put in a few hard strokes and then the subsequent strokes, which were less strenuous, kept me at a higher speed. The board is well built though. It can take a beating and it’s easy to stay balanced.
